March reads

It’s been a tough month for me so just a wee short post this time. I’m generally feeling quite overwhelmed and burnt out, so having this project and seeing the stack of read books growing has been great to see I’m making progress even when I feel I’m running in a hamster wheel.

Books read this month:

  • Other Women – Cathy Kelly
  • The Maid – Nita Prose
  • A Man Called Ove – Fredrik Backman
  • My Lovely Wife – Samantha Downing
  • The Dinner – Herman Koch
  • Acts of Infidelity – Lena Andersson
  • While You Slept – R. J. Parker

My absolute favourite read this month was A Man Called Ove. I loved Anxious People and this did not disappoint. Fredrik Backman knows just how to balance making you giggle and cry perfectly. A fabulous book.

Samantha Downing has sadly only written three books – her third book is on my April reads list!

Two March literary raspberries – Other Women and While You Slept. The latter had an excellent premise but there was no character development and the ending was so awful I chucked it across the room (the book was shortly returned to me by sausage!)

  1. Most impressive! You are knee-high and three months in and I haven’t read a single book you have yet. I feel hopelessly unsophisticated.
